New Jep and Dep / Darren Cross /Greta Mob music and clips.

Excitiedly the new Jep and Dep single “Babe Come Down” is to be released on 1st May 2014.

The Babe Come Down sound harks back to the way songs were recorded in the 60’s -live and in one take – no auto tune- no vocal trickery- just a song, two singers and a vintage acoustic guitar. Slowly and meticulously, the lush orchestration is built around the track…the strings, the double bass…the sound of lovers and fighters.
Taking atmospheric cues from Neil YoungPhil Spector and vocal styles of Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra .Babe Come Down builds from an Alt-Country vintage 60’s AM Radio love ballad to an Alt-Folk fiery foot stomper.
The song was written, recorded and produced here at Bernstein Studios.

The Filmclip for Babe Come Down was directed by Jenna Martin, Cinematography Jess Clarke-Nash and edited at Bernstein by Darren Cross and Jessica Cassar..

In other news Darren Cross new single “Slings and Arrows” (June 4th release)  was also written , recorded and produced at Bernstein.

Both Jep and Dep and Darren Cross tracks mastered by Grammy Award winning William Bowden (Goyte,Tim Finn,Jimmy Little) at KIng Willy Sound.

Greta Mob’s fantastic clip for ‘Gypsy Town’ was also edited here at Bernstein.
